If You’re Bored Of Your Winter Wardrobe Already, Here’s What To Try

It doesn’t take long for me to tire of winter styling, and I’ve pretty much hit that point of the season already. As much as I appreciate people getting excited by woollen coats, long boots, denim and knitwear, it’s just not my preference to be layered up so much, from an aesthetic and sensory point of view. Give me a skirt, tank, leather sandals and the jingle of jewellery any day!

I’ve vowed to not buy myself any more knitwear or denim this season, but I do want to spruce up my current winter outfit options. There are a few ways I’ve thought about doing this, and it might just help your own wardrobe, too. Here goes:

  • Coats aren’t the only outwear option. Experiment with denim, leather, prints and textures to give your cover-up a point of difference. This is so great.

  • Turn-up jeans instantly make your shoes shine, and an unexpected shoe works really well when the rest of your outfit is quite classic. Think retro sneakers, a bold colour choice or even a small heel where you’d otherwise wear a flat.

  • A pop of colour works wonders when the seasonal mood is low. Red is obviously a hero accent colour right now, but so to are shades of muted blue, mustard, pistachio green and banana yellow.

  • All it takes is one statement accessory to make an entire outfit seem more considered. A bold earring, colourful necklace, silk neck scarf or studded leather bags and belts give the dopamine hit your winter styling needs.

Let’s do it!
