The Transition Pieces You Need For Spring

We haven’t hit spring/summer just yet, but now is the perfect time to start prepping your wardrobe and outfits for a new season refresh. Here’s how to update your look for the transitional period coming up:

  • Swap knitwear for long sleeve cotton tops or shirts. If you need extra warmth, layer a tank or tee underneath and always finish with appropriate outerwear like a trench or Mac.

  • Ease up on the baggy denim and instead opt for classic shapes and cuts. Straight-leg is back in a big way thanks to vintage Levi’s inspiration. Proceed as you see fit!

  • Start introducing more colour to your outfits with pinks, red, cobalt blue, maroon and greens. A hint of colour is the perfect antidote to winter hibernation.

  • Experiment with lightweight pants in the style of your choice — wide leg, balloon shape, tapered leg, sporty or straight.

  • Textured tops are a great option for evening — think slinky satin shirts, tie-waist tees or frog-fastening blouses.

  • Midi, mini and maxi skirts are all trending, but for a point of difference which allows for more movement, a Bermuda short can be worn with a lightweight knit, belt and great shoes.

  • Speaking of shoes, it’s not time for open-toe just yet, but ease your way into bare feet with lovely flats or a reinvented peep-toe.

Let’s go!
