My 10 Random, Favourite Things Right Now
A tennis necklace and chilli oil, if that doesn’t sum me up in a nutshell then I just don’t know what does…
The people that know me will attest to the fact that I get just as excited shopping in a grocery store than I do at Net-a-Porter. It’s a gift or a curse, I’m not really sure yet, but one which serves me well as someone who can recommend just about anything to anyone. Good restaurants, decent homewares, Aldi Special Buys — if it’s stylish, useful, tasty or talked about, chances are I have a big opinion on it.
Which brings me to today’s Random, Favourite Things edit. Some of these pieces I’ve been eyeing for a while, while others are new obsessions I can’t stop thinking about. Either way, they’re all in my current Wish Lists so I thought I’d share with you lovely folk. Let’s go!
- Mejuri Lab Grown Tennis Necklace - If you’re on the fence about investing seriously in a tennis necklace, this is a good in-betweener that does the job more than nicely. I’m dreaming of layering this with some of my existing gold necklaces for a more casual vibe.
- Textured Wavy Zara Home x Collagerie Vase - A gorgeous little feel-good piece that isn’t so common looking, I love this colour combo mixed with more neutral furniture and homewares.
- Fringe Detail Wrap Mini by Oroton - Trying to find the perfect mini skirt has been hard, but this has got me hooked in an unexpected way. I’m not usually a red girl but I can imagine myself wearing this with a neutral tank and sandals come summer.
- When two brands collide and do cool things. These are super fun, useful and yes, this is another 90s nostalgic brand that’s baaaaaaack.
- You know I’m mad for a good cotton dress and this is both versatile and super chic.
- Striped towels are very much my vibe as I’m not into plain white. These are great quality and would add instant warmth to any bathroom.
- Altica Genuine Leather Handbag - Looks like Dragon Diffusion but isn’t, when I was searching for woven leather bags recently I stumbled upon this and realised it’s a very similar buy for half the price. Comes in loads of colours and sizes, too.
- Marion’s Kitchen Crispy Chilli Oil - Very much in my condiment era and I’m not mad about it. I’m always looking for ways to make my eggs and veggies taste a bit more exciting and I think this is it. I really love Marion’s food products — pretty healthy and very tasty.
- Merit’s Five Minute Morning Pack - I’m super excited Merit now ships to Australia, and this pack seems to be just the thing I need to freshen up my everyday makeup routine. I’m mad for a cream blush and good concealer so I can’t wait to try this much-hyped brand (meant to be great for more mature skin).
- Good Cooking Everyday by Julia Busuttil Nishimura - I love Julia, and I love good, simple food. I haven’t invested in a cookbook for a while but this is definitely next on my hit list — Julia has great taste in both food and style and I really enjoy all of her recipes.
