Fresh Colour Combos To Try Now
When I talk about colour, I don’t mean mixing and matching brights for attention or deliberately clashing colours. What I’m saying in this context is that colour is going to play a big part in the spring/summer season ahead, so you may want to get a head start on how to slowly introduce it into your wardrobe.
It could be as simple as pairing two opposing colours with neutrals and denim, or choosing a blue or grey accent colour instead of your usual white or black. You can also play with complementary tones — red and pink, mint green and khaki, cobalt and pale blue — to create combinations that work together rather than compete.
There are also more inventive ways to introduce a hint of colour through styling. Think a bright knit or shirt tied at the waist, a printed neck scarf, or a bold accessory such as a bag, necklace or brooch. Go big, go small, go demure or go loud — it all works.
